RB's down at the mo :evil: and I wanted to know if anyone here had any details of the forthcoming RB vs NL showdown at the pod in early 2004?

Ian and Chip got a few of the details sorted from what i know, as for dates etc i believe they were looking for mid/late spring but until they announce an exact date noone knows

The RB v Novaload Santa Pod thrash was being organised for some time in April last I heard. Probably best off emailing Chip or Ian if you can.

there is a run what u brung on the 25th of january apperantly so u could always try it then at pod

is there any days when less people go so i can play without being watched? or only RWYB days? as im a bit nervous of havin me first go and ballsing it up kinda thing. but i aint gonna build my engine and not put it through its paces next yr. im determined to give it a blast, try antyhing once kinda thing.

lmao it aint that bad, you forget about all the peeps watching and itching to criticise. Look at my 3 runs i have done, all new to me aswell and had everyman and his dog watching for me to make a mess of things at pv2003 when i did them. In that situation you may even do better as you are more determined to put down a good time.

all i ran was my trusted eagle f1's, and that was at 30psi in em so i think they performed very well

nah, your not really.

im quite looking forward to getting engine a bit more respectable and on RR again, theres so many things that are wrong or not done right, to get me on the road, that i think i will be pleasantly suprised by the results once everything is put right!

strip will be another matter though lol

Is this just for people on the strip or can anyone thats on here come down and show their cars coz hopefully mine will be done by then and i wouldnt mind coming down and looking at the other cars. Plus engine wise mine would be fast but with a kingdom kit dont really think it will be much to race similar engines.

Mike,

I wouldn't worry about people watching. When I went down there, you get all nervous as your driving towards the start, but as soon as you get onto the strip, everyone around you seems to dissapear as you're concentrating so much on the lights. By the time you cross the finish line you're itching to have another run.

well good news!

i phoned my insurance company, and they basiclaly said i was allowed to do anyhting i want to my engine, as long as i dont make the engine capacity bigger, so im happy to keep it has a 1.2!

which means ill be looking round for a f13cr grbox, gte cam, full sri exhaust system, and other bits and pieces, so it should all be good! :D

when is the NL vs. RB thrash then?

and considering that 1.2s are pretty low in bhp anyway, im just curious to know how how many horses can be bolted onto a 1.2! :roll:

Don't let the fact that someone has a faster car stop you from modifying. If we all thought like that, we'd be driving with standard engines :| I don't know your age or how much money you have, but I can assure you 120bhp from a 1.2 is not cheap! Don't be disheartened by this, just do what you can on the budget that you've got.
