GT4 vent

I have an SR1.4 with a full novadose kit ,my next modification is going to be a Celica GT4 bonnet vent cut and smoothed into the bonnet. But ,what I am worried about is the rain and water getting into the engine through the hole .The GT4 vent has a large opening which is directly over my K+N bolt on filter , will this matter????Any responce is appreciated.

ull probably find that in the winter your carb will ice up straight away as soon as u hit a motor way like mine does. it may look shit but in the winter i block my vent up with some black tape to stop this happening as much. u could always take the filter off fot the winter.
