roof seam covers

you know the grey plastic strips that cover the seam on the roof. are these glued on or clipped on or what?

i lost one on the motorway doing silly speeds :roll:

going to vaux for a new one (drivers side) on my day off. anyone know a rough price?

Clip on and iirc they are quite expensive for what they are.

Mine had adhesive strip on the inside when I bought a pair of new ones, peel it off then clip them onto the gutter. BTW If you know someone with EPC there are a few options, I got chrome ones on mine when I did it 8)

Or you could just take em off all together, took mine off my black nova, looks alot better.

take em off, looks way better !!!
then grind them down, but be careful too much grinding may cause the roof to come off :D

isn't it an mot fail if you have sharp edges on the car bodywork? plus it'll split youre sponge and chamois into pieces one!

trust me a decent bodyshop will know this and will grind them down and make sure that all of the sharp edges are removed.

i havent got through that many sponges washing my car there aint no sharop edges on mineonly smooth line . lol :D
