Strange Question

I know that this is a bit of a strange question but i'm bored and i thought i'd ask it. Where did the saying "It goes like S.H.I.T. off a shovel" come from. I mean have you ever tried to get shit off a shovel before its pretty difficult. Anyone know why, just asking?;)

I guess that this phrase is from the fact that a hard cow pat would slide from a polished shovel pitty easily!?
