can any one here recomend a heavy duty alternator and a decent battery that i could get from a scrappy.

Dont buy a battery from a scrap yard ever.

Get a Cav turbo diesel battery from a motor factors for about ?30.

Try to get the bosch altenator rather than the delco remy type as there better.

I have loads if you wantone.

i fited a 65amp battery to mine yesterday. starts much easier now :D

65amp should be plenty for anyone with a nova.

its cold out side this is why i aint gone the shop to find out for myself.

so what ampage is the cav td battery?

i got a cav battery about 2 yrs ago and has never had a prob starting since

my alternator rattles when you rev the engine. sounds awful. its bolted in properly and the belt is tight. do the bearings go on these often

i dont know about often but if can certainly happen if the belt had been to tight.
