hi my cross member has snapped aroung the tie bar and the only thing holding the front end together is the antiroll bar, i have another cross member to go in - how long does it take to do the job, from start to finish

about a days work in a garage.. cause they need to remove bumper, rad, etc etc.... then cut/grind the old one out then weld the new in and paint it

also it's easier if you paint before fitting then touch up afterwards

i have just found out, the part that i have got is a cross member and valence in one, it repalces where the bumper fits and is apparently bolted in.

no i havent but when you look at the fron of a mk2 nova with its bumper off, you see a panel (the front valence) below the radiator which is spot welded to the front wings, it has the bumper slots in it. it goes back to where the tie bars join on and it is this that i have the whole thing.
