Is there a way to convert the manual tilt, slide sunroof (from a gte) into an electric one?

Yes can use Cav GSi sunroof too, we have a GSi with an electric sunroof in it.

what parts do i need? is it the whole sunroof assembly or just the motor and switch?

its actually alot easier than i thought it would be. just take of the winder handle, and remove some support bracket thing that seems to be doing nothing except adding weight to the car. wack the motor on ( the holes are already there) and away you go. some people have said you need a spacer between the motor and roof but i didnt and it hasnt mashed the cogs up - but test it first. the hardest thing is trying to get a cover that fits nicely. i managed to get one from a carlton with the ball socket interior lights but obviously it was way to big so some mods had to be made but im happy with the result.

ok got the motor from a carlton and it fits on but the holes are totally different. Have i got the right motor or is the cav gsi one different? There are no cav gsi's down my scrappys but there are cav 2.0 sri's. Do these have electric sunroof?
