I've wanted to take my car on to a track for ages now, and am in the middle of booking one @ brands hatch. Does anyone else fancy doing this because it could be a laugh.

I really want to get on a track and humiliate some supposedly faster cars. How far from brands do you live, the more interest we get the cheaper we should be able to get it:D

I'm in lancashire. But if a few of the others up north are interested i'll come down.

What dates are you thinking of.

I phoned up the booking company yesterday and I they had an evening on the 15 of july but also a couple of days. I was thinking of july/august time(decent weather i hope)but i want to organise it now. I'll ring tomorrow and get definate dates. But i am serious, I love speed. :D

Well i go on my hols on the 10 July for 2 weeks and "hopefully" my car will be going in for some bodywork at the same time.

Once that's done i won't be taking on a track. So yes i the cars standard when the track day comes round, no if it's modded although i'd still come down as a spectator.

What are you having done to your nova? Mine has been out of the bodyshop for about six weeks now. I had it all resprayed. Any engine mods planned:)

No it's what i was discussing in the styling forum Jap Style, Widearch and Prob 18's.

You can probably work out why i don't want to take it on the track.
A: Shit Handling
B: Expensive Repairs

Engines gotta stay pretty standard as i haven't been driving long.

I want a 2l but thats at least a year and a half off.

A 2L is recomended I've got one in mine and it goes quite well. I took it to a revs 0-60 and it did a 7.4 in the wet. Do you know what engine(turbo or not. My car looks like a standard sr which is great for winding people up:>

I thought i'd heard your name before. Didn't you get the quickest time for a nova at the revs 0-60 day.

Your cars a red mk1 sr with 2L16v engine is that right?

Yeah thats it. But it isnt fast enough yet I need to get about 200bhp. But it pis**d on all those RS turbos. It is so much fun when people in five turbos and escorts try to waste me. :)

I could be pursuaded and I could probably bring up a few people from the South with me. I'm like Fenix though, just got my car looking good, so I don't really want it on the track.
