the little bit of brass was wedged into the selector of 1st/2nd in CP's Quaife Gear Cluster

we have stripped the shaft down and rebuilt the cluster onto a "new" (another F13) shaft, just witing on some new end case bearings to complete the job.

neither of us had taken a gear cluster appart before, so it was a veticle learning curve. But a methodical approach, and some lovely abuse saw a good days work :)

full results once the boc is back together.

Looks familiar!!

I have to change the synchro (same as photo above) on 2nd gear every two rallies :o :o

Contemplated changing to a F15 dog box but if have prob's with that would have to change the complete gear not just the synchro, much cheaper to change the synchro :D

is it expensive? how do u go about it?

(if you don't mind me asking)

just wudn't mind having a go myself when I've got another car to do it in, and some funds, lol
