jst found a hole in my battery tray thats pretty big, it was fillered over by the previous owner... tit..... its right up against the outside edge of the tray and extends in about 3 - 4 inches in under the battery and about 6 inches wide, its pretty big, can put my hand through it with ease. would it be possible to weld it up or is it ready for the scrap pile??? my mates got a welder :?

or use fibreglass, much easier due to the location!!

will it pass an mot if its just fibreglassed?

well it was bodged last time for the mot by the previous owner and i only found out how big the hole was when i poked a screw driver through it to see how far it had rusted, then i ended up taking out a fat chunk of metal, dont think i will get away with fibre glassing it, i think im gonna strip the car down and use for spares now, its falling apart

time to get an sr :D

need to weld it really. Had the same problem on mine when i bought it.

has to be welded cause it's within 30cms of a suspension mounting point

OR...

Fiberglass it, then put a sheet of foil over it and a really thick coat of underseal :lol:
