just been down europarts motorsport & had my nova on the rolling road for a power run. Well chuffed with power, not as much torque as i thought.
but considering it is a 1.7td without intercooler, i think it has performed brilliantly

110.6 Bhp @ 92.7mph in 4th
127 lb ft @ 56.4mph in 4th
tell me what ya think
well chuffed

having intercooler, cam, exhaust and filter next...
video to come in about 2 weeks ;-)

Not bad m8, someone will come and say europarts over-read like mad but it looks accurate enough to me :) I thought you had an intercooler on and some mad boost on the go? Still, impressive, and should kill a fair few GTE's/GSi's :)

GTE/GSi will probably put out its max power at 82mph something around there. Not all that revvy are they & got a close ratio box. Td is a winner!!

The best way to read rollin road results is power at the wheels. A dyno can only calculate power at flywheel using supposed values for air pressure/ temp etc then uses transmission losses to estimate a flywheel figure, if everyone used at the wheels figs then universall y we would all have a better idea for comparisons. My 146bhp is 119bhp at the wheels. Not very impressive as far as I'm concerned but on the other hand if my 1600 whoops most others I know convincingly then, the others must be considerably lower at the wheels also. True figures not bogus flywheel claims! This is not meant to upset anyone btw :D

i lost 20.7bhp through transmisson and tyres. gutted, but not bad through just boost alone, and a bit of fuelling. my exhaust is restrictive and induction system shit apparently and when intercoolered should run 110bhp @ wheels with induction system and exhaust sorted. and 150 lb ft torque
yeah it is Ian Nixon @ euro parts in stoke
quality guy
he was impressed at the 70 - 90 time on my derv.

70 - 90 @ 1.8 seconds on the rollers
fucking ace
ha ha
