If I rigged one of these up would me car be a little bit nippier or do they just make them run like a bag of nails.
It would be on a 1.3 with an atermarket air filter

All it'll do to your 1.3 with aftermarket filter is to help to carb freeze at this time of year, put one on during the warmer months by all means but don't do it at this time of year unless you want an (even more) unreliable carb'd Nova?

thing is it doesn't have any trouble with carb iceing, starts everytime and is only a bit juddery on when its first running, and thats becasue i haven't got any choke on it :| It seems to go better whan a bit cooler :?

Cos I was bored I took the filter off my 1.2 ---- on hot days it was fine but in October had to put OEM filter back on as the carb was icing after 15 mins on the motorway. --- 5 mins on hard sholder used to sort it out but its a pain in the ar*e.

Mad it a bit nosier and top end rev was a bit smarter
