what would the bhp be for a 1.2i nova and a 1.2 carb??

Im sure im right about these figures

1.2i is 45bhp

1.2carb is 55bhp

they are correct. The 1.2i has 1bhp less than the 1.0 nova which is a push rod engine. The 1.2i got a pants single point injection and a cat, so all power got sucked away.

what about a 1.2i with a 1.2 carb head( will be changed over tomorow as my head on the injection is cracked someware) will that affect it at all ?

better flow, bigger ports bigger valves

should bring it upto > 1.2 carb powerlevels if u junk the cat and get a better cam in there at the same time as the head (a 1.4sr cam for instance)

ive had both and there is a big difference but the 1.2i feel better when you accelerate

gona get rid of the cat some point soon, whats the eaisest way to get rid of it? ill o prob get the cam at same time, what is involved in putting a 1.4sr cam ?
