ok, driving today on the motorway at 70, just cruising and the car suddenly started to lose power but only for for a split second then it was back, then back off. its done it all the way home now and its getting worse. its on/off, suddenly you lose power then its back

i wish it'd just break so i could call the aa out :?

it has been feckin freezin both on the way to work, and back again (fog aswell). it reminded me of when my sr's carb would ice up it'd just go so jittery. is it possible for gsi's to suffer similar problems?? or do the injectors just need a good cleaning out?

I had the exact same thing mate, now this might not be the reason but from what you've said it sounds like what i had, it was the earth of my fuel pump, which is just to the side of the rear boot lock/catch, the screw had come lose the connection was bad so the pump wasnt working, kpet cutting out and coming back in, with the bumps in the road ect. but mine started to stagger as no fuel was going through.

But it could be something else mate.
