1.0 into 1.2

hi all just wonderin if a 1 litre would just drop straight into a 1.2 as weve just got a 1.2 with broke cambelt but good shell and a 1.0 with the best condition standard engine ive seen but but a shell thats got more rust then a rusty old rust bucket

ok ste so i need to keep the 1.0 rad and pipes but by wires do you mean the whole loom as in all the way back to everything on the dash and would it be easy enough to do if ive never even tried it before :o

just keep all the wiring in the bay..


a few bits on the 1.0 are different

some (if not all) 1.0 have a weber carb with a fuel feed only and no return. you'll need to add a t piece or plug the return on the tank and remove the excess line

i thaught the 1.2 was a "safe" engine?

have u tried shoving another belt on it and seeing if it fires?
