My SRi is a stolen recovered and when i baught that from simpson salvage in york it didnt have a V5 :roll:

A friend of mine has a 2l 16v Mini rally car which has a modified motor giving 190bhp at the wheels :o :o :o

It flies up the straights but is not too clever on the bends :!:

Yeah you can buy full chassis kits for Mini so they can take the XE 2L 16v lump, there are also some LET Min's about aswell.

are there any websites for 2.0 16v minis? I remember reading about one ages ago with throttle bodies and there was talk of putting a turbo on aswell. Just wondering if that ever got finished?

theres a bloke round the corner from where i work whos got an old mini clubman, i was chatting to him the other day and hes having a a 170hp VTEC lump dropped in there in a few weeks! says hes gonna take me for a spin! :twisted:

There's also a German site which is about a Mini with a VtEC fitted, I've seen the vids of it doing round 'the ring' on a track day, funny watching it overtake things like BMWs and Porsches outside them on corners!!

Iv seen that car on www.topbuzz.co.uk, its under cristina sinclairs 2.2 8v nova.

Says that its 245 bhp @ the wheels and does 0 to 60v in 4.1 seconds.
