fit straight on. Make sure the bleed nipples are at the top of the caliper though, as lots of people seem to fit them the wrong way.

What wheels are you running btw?

what are the smallest wheels the brakes fit under?

Only some 14" wheeels, Nova SR ones won't go back on over Astra 16 valve calipers

Sorry Novax, I disagree....Having a set of 14Inch SR steels currently fitted to the rally car as I type and that is running Astra 16V front and rear - They are the 5.5J type and are very close, but do NOT touch..

they might fit with worn disks/pads

very rarely will they go on with new disks and pads tho

and u sure they are 5.5J?

the astra gte wheels were 5.5J - i always thaught the nova ones were 5 or 4.5J depending on age

Yes, defonately 5.5J 14 Nova SR wheels, and as the rally car gets a new set of pads every rally and a new set of discs every 3 rallies, I KNOW that they fit.....

yup they fit
weve had this argument b4 but no-one believed me that mine fitted  .
i had the 24mm wide disks with new pads and mk2 sr steels and like you say its close but dont rub - good 3mm + clearance

if you have 15" wheels then why not consider the V6 upgrade. I bought some Cav V6 calipers (?20) and some Fiat 20v discs (found on Marea, Bravo and Coupe) for ?10, and fitted the. The discs need a bit of modification as the holes dont quite line up (4x98mm PCD). The holes just need opening out a little, and the grub screw even lines up. Bargain!

Sorry I was thinking only of the Alloy 14" SR wheels. Steels are always bigger on the inner diameter due to their construction. We have the same on Vectras and brake kits, the steel goes over great but not the alloy....
