Was looking at Rob Wilikinson's car in the gte feature and noticed he was planning to fit a twin cam 16v head from a corsa to his gte bottom end. Contacted him a couple of times about the conversion and he gave me the number of the company he said was going to do it for him. But when i contacted them they didn't know anything about it. Does anyone else know if this conversion is possible and if so has anyone done it. Any comments would b much appresiated.
cheers

cheaper and easier to fit a full 1.4/6 16v engine
only use the orignal bottom end if the rules for your motorsport say you have to

thats what i thought but he was saying he could get a head ready to fit just straight on for 250. The cheapest 1600 16v engine i can find was 450.

?450?? fecking bargain. get it, if its good. or let me have it.
They do fit straight on, PhilM did some research on this when we built my 1.6 16v. We didn't look to closely tho so not sure if all the rollers for the timing belt will fit on.
Just get a complete engine and save a lot of hastle........
