Right i think its about time novaload had a list of all the good, the average and the poor companys people have had dealing with.

I will start the list,

Good companys:
Courtenay,
ATC,
Leda,
Quazar engine builders,
Hi Spec,
Wallace performance,
Trilogy alarms best Clifford fitter in and around Manchester,
Autovaux,
HIC car insurance.

Average,
dunno of any average ones!

Must do far better,
PVD did not give me a delivery date and then kept fobbing me off week after week,
AVO people on the end of the phone dont know anything and seemed like they just kept passing the buck on to others,
Adrian flux unhelpfull on the phone so i went to HIC.

These are my own opinions and are nowt to do with the site Kev or Ian. People have the right to know the truth and this post will show it.

this list is actually completely pointless. Most of the 'good' companies jump from 'good' to 'bad' in each post, which either shows that the standards of service vary greatly according to who the people have dealt with, or we all have different standards/measure for good/bad.

Somebody might have friends at a certain company, or be building a show car and get 'freebies/sponsorship/heavily discounted' parts/labour and then sing those companies praises all over the place, but does that mean that they actually ARE any good in terms of speed of delivery/product knowledge/prices etc etc etc?

No point listing good or even average at all anyway. If someone has a shit experience, then it can be helpful to post saying why, so other people considering dealing with the company can take precautions. If a particular company has had nothing but criticism, nothing will change unless they actually know about it. If they DO know about it, it is more likely that they would change/attempt to improve, since most tuning/styling companies rely on 'word-of-mouth' advertising (and on company demos), and a once particularly shit company to deal with, can become on top of everyone's lists.

There is no need for name and shame, since that's what trading standards and consumer rights legislation is there for in the first place. Shit, there is SO MUCH legislation IN FAVOUR of consumers, companies can't afford to make mistakes. Tho do take advantage of peoples ignorance.

I asked for a list marty and did not ask for your opinion on the matter. If you think its pointless and a waste of time then why post? Obviously a fair few other novaload posters think its worth while. Rick

bit of a mixture in my list. most are local companies some are national.

good:

davidsons of morpeth (vaux dealership)

kroozin@motorworld (got 10% discount on everything i've bought from there)

jennings of morpeth (ford dealership but they did a cracking job of my little bit of accident repair on my corsa)

powerflow@newcastle (exhaust was exactly how i wanted with no rattles or knocks)

morpeth motaparts (local motor factors but they are great to deal with and usually have everything i need in stock)

bad:

milburn of ashington (vaux dealership.......just dont mention nova, they do not want to know)

janspeed (for making shit fitting exhausts which made me go to powerflow and spend loads, which was a blessing in disguise but at the time i didnt really want to part with ?270!)

yes, look JUST how useful this list actually IS. Powerflow jump from good to bad, and so does pvd and etc.

Really valuable information.

How is this supposed to be of any real benefit to people? There is NO consitency.

Colin Smith - Bad, totally agree, he must be the worst ever!!!! Dont know of anyone who has had a good experiance dealing with that guy

Ive had plenty of very smooth transactions with Colin and still buy things off him if he has the parts i require.

Agree with Ben. Positive feedback in every case for Colin Smith. IMO its a pity he isnt as active anymore.

I have made small and big purchases from him. He has always been honest about the condition of the items.
