Timing with T40's

how do i set my timing with t40's on. it's a standard 1.4 other than carbs and exhaust. do i just set it to standard or do i have to advance it? if so by how much??

Easiest way is to go to a good rolling road - they will get your carbs jetted right, advance your timing etc for max power and give you a power figure.

A good place I went to where the operator is mustard with twin 40's is Wilshers garage Wimpole Cambridge -01223207217. He's got the ear for them :wink:

i went to velos not long ago, but have since changed the head gasket, so the carbs are fine but the timing needs doing. i was hoping i could just get the strobe out and give it a tweek.
