After the timing belt went and snapped a couple of tappets/followers etc,
just wondering why the car is now so "chappy"

Wasnt like that b4 and someone said that my tappets should have been set up? Anyone know if its true and if so how to do it??

when you say collapsed do you mean the thing the tappet sits on thats cylindrical in shape?

depending which engine it is u may find the belt snapping has bent a few valves

this would more that likely make a rattly/tappy sound when running

Its damaged - needs ripping apart and fixing properly

when i say collapsed i meant the internals of the hydrolic tappet, if u look at the top it should have a small nipple which moves in and out slightly if this is caved in like mine was its fucked...
