0-100 1.6 8v gearbox

i have a 1.6 8v just about to put some t40's on soon, but the gearbox is sh*t
want a box for quick 0-100 time
what box would you recomend think ive got a F13 at the moment.

you probly want the f13cr box the put the 4.18 final drive out of an f10 into it!

dont swap the boxes - swap in the CR cluster out of a 1.4 SR for example - then swap over the 1.6 pinion onto the 1.4 cluster and retain your final drive. Job done

It will probably take a couple of hours to do, so about ?60 upwards.

You can tell whether you have a CR or WR box, by knowing your maximum speed in 4th. If its around 100mph, then you have a CR box, if it is more like 120, then you have a WR box.

The WR box has long gears, but a close final drive, 4.18:1. Use this with the cluster from a CR box, F10 or F13, and you'll have a nice box. You can also get a 4.53:1 final drive, giving closer ratio's and better acceleration, but you might have trouble with wheelspin without fitting an LSD.

just as a little extra info, alot of wr boxes also had the 3.94 f/d as all 1.6 cavs etc had this combo in their f13wr boxes

it does about 120 in fourth. if any one on here could make me a box give me a price and ill have a think about it
