Turbo

i have an astra 1.4si i know i know but novas kill me on insurence :cry: anyway i want to fit a turbo to it and was wondering would i have to upgrade anything injectors ect. and would the ecu be ok or would i need a new 1, and are there any websites like this 1 for astras look but but none come near to this 1. thanks for your help

no,no,no and no. sorry mate. only thing to do to that engine possibly is carbs or throttles. no turbos. yes everything would have to be uprated. cost more than u can imagine. then they can be a bitch to live with. if you can get a turbo then you can insure a nova. use the car till you can afford insurance on a nova.

Sorry I can't see how a Turbo Astra is going to be cheaper to insure than a Nova? :|

im sure the astra Si was the same engine as nova sri so same things would apply

yes u can turbo it but why bother:

turbo'd 1.4 = 120-130bhp for ?3k

20xe = 150bhp for ?500-1000

especially in an astra, the extra torque helps muchness
