I have a 92 C20 XE engine with an F20 gearbox and the clutch has gone, does anyone know where i can get a reasonably cheap one from.

Its not for my nova, its in the calibra which is just my everyday car so doesn't get that much stick.

Any advice on fitting it would be appreciated too, as i might give it a go.

btw from what i have discovered in reading/research it is the early type, which you can drop out throught the clutch plate

Your year of engine has a flat-type flywheel, which means you can replace the clutch without removing the gearbox, hence cheaper labour. On 1993 they changed it to a thicker pot-type flywheel, which meant it was impossible to slide out the clutch via the panel under the F20, the F20 had to come off!

You can get cheaper recon clutch kits with VX trade club if your a www.clubcalibra.com member (?15), plus loads of other servicable parts 50% off. But other than that you could try www.autovaux.co.uk for pattern parts.
