250w RMS is way too much, you'd be able to get away with a 2 x 40 RMS which is bridgeable to make 1 x 80 RMS.
Or going the cheap route then get at least a 500w peak (approx).

so if i can find a 600w amp with 1x80rms or bigger it'll be jobs a gooden?

Yes - It's low enough to not damage the sub but high enough to be loud enough (Did I use the word 'enough' enough times?)
