Does anyone have a guide and or pics for fitting the nova rallycross wide arch kit as im having problems getting it all to line up :( , any help or pics will be much appreciated

i was jus bout to post up the same post. kinda!!
i'm lookin to buy one, there is a car on here (got a feeling its from ireland) and it always gets put up in these topics.
where can you get them and how much. i was the four arch kit, dunno wot its called. really desperatly want one.

I got my kit from supernovas, they have an ad in totalvauxhall it cost about ?600 with the delivery charge

they're notoriously difficult to fit because they are made for rally cars which dont have to look nice. to get it fitted to a road car looking sweet will probably take a whole load of chopping and smoothing. take it to a good bodyshop and give the credit card a good bashing lol.

Just don't come on too much these days as we're getting 2 rally cars ready for next year.
What you finding hard to line up? the actual panels or body lines? Both nead to be tampered with in a serious way. the body panels need to be cut and shaped carefully and as for body lines! :o :roll: i had to do a serious amount of filling and sanding my wing and quater on the drivers side to bring the main line up in line with the door.
My old car is the supernovas add but this kit is actually from www.pro-tecmotorsport.co.uk
well ive already had to chop alot off the inside of the front wings to get them sitting in line, but the worst problem is on the skirts where they are meant to join the front wing, there is a big gap and i dont know wether its a good idea to flex the wing out to meet the skirt, has anyone else had this problem? dose anyone have a pic of where the skirts join the wing?
also, can anyone tell me how much of the original
rear arch has to be cut away?
Im looking at putting 18s on it and im not wanting any scrubing

Thats going to require a lot of work on its own, fitting the wide arch kit dosent allow you to fit huge wheels instantly you will still have the same probs as normal nova arches.
I looked down the homepage and saw Brian had posted in Styling and thought must be a q about wide arch kits.
Fergie try www.magnummotorsport.co.uk for the kit as have a heard a lot of reports there easier to fit than protec and supernovas.
as regards cutting back the rear arch...... the tidiest way and takes time is:
put a series of vertical cuts in the outer and inner arch. fold this all in and up into what remains of the inner arch. weld what you have folded back to the inner arch. you will need to do a serious amount of work with a lump hammer to get this all flat and neat. next fill the space between the fibreglass arch and the quater with expanding foam (cavity fill) this will need to be held up in place with some cardboard or something until it goes off.
when its gone off shape the foam to the arch shape with a grinder. then lash on a few coats of under sealer to the entire under arch (foam and steel) the whole lot will look tidy if you do it right.
hope this makes sence!!!
If you don't use wide track suspension you will have to fool around with offsets to get a wheel to fill the arch. using wide track suspension the original et49 rule applies.
