petrol tank?

still gathering parts for my gte custom conversion job and was wondering - do you have to have the gte tank?

I know its bigger etc but do you need to swap it - currently have the 1.2 tank from a mk2 merit (carb).

I know I need a fuel pump and Aragorn reckons I can ise the old 1.2 drive shafts. Have anti roll bars and the rest - just wanna know about the tank...

I don't see why you'd need a Gte tank. I know CP modified his tank to make it smaller. If your getting a fuel pump, I don't see a problem with keeping the 1.2 tank.

the gte tank has a swirl pot etc

and the pipe coming out of it to the pump is much larger

so if you fit a swirl pot under the bonnet you won't need to change the tank?

huh? the swirl pot MUST go in or around the tank (i think)

the only tanks you can really use are 1.2i (with mpi pump from corsa/vectra) or a GTE tank!!
