when you fit them do you have to weld them or can you bolt them in?
where do you get the nova subframes from? do you have to buy any surtain subfrmaes to make the cobras fit?
basically any help gretful.
depends on which seat, some models mount from the base (subframes needed) and some are bolt in using side brackets
welding is not needed for road use with either option
somewhere like demon tweeks will sell the appropriate nova subframes. for odd applications you can get general-fit subframes which have to be messed with to fit, absolutely no point though as specific nova subframes are available
side mounted seats (usually the genuine motorsport oriented seats) are more serious to fit. they probably wont go straight in and you might have to fettle something up with the nova floor being like it is, ive never fitted any. also you wont be able to tilt these forwards or have the freedom of moving them about once theyre in
hope this helps
I've got a pair of Cobra Seats with the sidemounts waiting to go into my car. There are a series of holes for you to adjust the seat slightly, but it's a case of once their in, their in!
Jim
ive got mine welded on 2 standard nova sub frames but i had a hell of a job doin it
i ended up weldin the runner up so the seat wudnt move :oops:
then i tried boltin them 2 the subframes but sum how the frame got twisted and the nuts interfered with the runner :oops:
so in the end i gave em 2 me mate and said "ill wire ur garage if u sort me seats"
and he did
ill try 2 find out where he welded em

Seats = ?95 each.
Subframes = ?50 each for tailor-made, or ?30 each for universal.
Try Demon Tweeks.
