How much will it cost for me to have my engine bay welded up to take a 2.0 sri engine. wot will happen if i was just to change the mounts
Depends who does it - a good welder geared up to weld cars would get the necessary work done in about a day if the bay was clear of the engine etc.
A prof. welder inc. equipment may charge anything from ?15 -40/hr depending on the facilities.
Hence ?120 -?320.
The reason for doing it is so the car frame can cope with the extra weight, speed and wear and tear.
You may get away with not doing it if your car is in good order but its risky and you will prolly find that after a while the shell will end up damaged and dangerous
