my sri brakes are so crap causing me to warp the discs! how much would i have to pay for the astra gte upgrade and whats involvd in fitting? :?

seen as this is your second post i will let you off but this same topic has now been repeated 4 times in the last 10 days!!

again..

1st question - what wheels do you have?
as this will determine what we recomend you do.

you can pick up a full 16v brake setup for ?50 and its pretty easy to fit

as above - calipers, caliper carriers (make sure you get these also!), discs n pads can be obtaned from between ?50 to ?250 (from new) - unsure if the SRi has the uprated servo.master cylinder but if not you may want to get this also - give you a bit more pedal power...

Ebay had a set of 16v calipers a few days ago - do a search under nova/astra/vauxhall etc...

i have 15 inch cav sri wheels the fan blade type

your sri has the bigger servo which is good. you wont have any problems fitting 16v brakes!!

all you need is a 10mm hex socket to get the callipers off and an 11mm normal socket to take the hose union off.

i would also recomend bleeding the entire brake system and replacing with DOT5 and also using new copper union washer (few ? tops)
