2.0 8v from cav 130 int 1.2 merit

Iv heard that you dont need to strengthen the engine bay in a 1.2 merit if you want to put a 2.0 8 valve in, is this true?

i think you do. more definitely its recommended. don't do things by the half. weld her up. youll thank us later. some people weld them up even if sticking with orig. engine.
