1.4 or 1.3 sr

I want to change the engine in my car and want to know which is the best one to go for, whicjh is the easiest to change over, cos io have a 1.2 manual choked car and i know the 1.4 is auto choke are they just a straight swop

both the sr engines are autochoke but this isnt difficult anyway, the conversions for both engines are the same and very easy should be done in a day, id go for the 1.4sr

If i put the engine in and get a full exhaust for the 1.4sr will all the exhaust mountings be in the same place as the 1.2 ones were.

yes the mounts will be in the right place but it would have to be a full systtem including the downpipe as its different to the 1.2 system

mk1 or mk2 car u have now?

1.3sr is cheaper to insure, depends what you want from the car, if your keeping it simple and not tuning the engine and can find a 1300 in good nick go for that, cheap to insure as i said and only 2/3 bhp down on a 1400 :)
