minis have mag to themselves. as do golfs and beetles. why; cos theyve been around since the dark ages. popular though novas are, or were, vaux didn't make then for long enough to have a mag all to themselves. as their reputation sort of states; most are rough and owned by first time drivers. they are reguarded as a spring board. the rest of us just never got un-attached kept their first car and spent on it.

Golf has been around since 1975 and is still available in mk4 guise....

Same with MINI since 1959.....

If Vaux/Opel had stuck with NOVA name, or called it CORSA in england, you never know.....

Also, afaik, the VW Beetle doesn't have it's own magazine, there's VolksWorld which features mainly Beetle but it also includes other air-cooled dubs - Bay / Split screen campers, Karmaan Ghias, Squarebacks, Notchbacks, Kubelwagans........

More like an original Porsche, plus they can hardly be classed as 'poor mans' anything - to get a mint one you're looking at a lot of money and to restore one will cost even more as panels are very very rare for them now-a-days - my m8 used to have a ex-feature Karmaan Ghia cabrio that he built himself which he was offered ?30k for whilst he was working in London - and he turned it down!!

yes jules but i meant at the time. when new it wasn't as dear as porsches were. look i know my shit. lol (here we go..) neither would i have done for ?30k. not if ide had restored it. get more looks in one of those nowadays then ?30,000. or two pink daz novas.lol
