right all how low could i go without arch mods on my mk1 1.2 with 15" rim with 195/45 r15 rubber

do you think id get away with a 60 drop

depends on offset..

i was running 195/50 15" with a 60mm drop with no mods

there millie miglia spiders , there were on the car when i got it so how can i find out the offset is it stamped on them anywhere

It'll be stamped on the inside of the alloy, probably on the bit that bolts to the hub.

"Et" or it may look a bit like "E+"

Depending on the width of the wheel, it should be around et45 - 49.
