I witnessed a bad one last year. Chelsea Bridge in London on friday night where all the bikers go. (Its a privately owned bridge buy a bike fan himself so no traffic laws apply)

One of the bikes was flying down the road Estimation by the police was 100 - 120 mph. He clipped another bike about 5 metres from me and went crashing down the road. His bike wrote off 5 cars in the process including my friends Calibra Turbo.

I knew as soon as a I saw the trickle of blood running down the road he was dead. His body was a proper mess, bent all over the place. We wernt allowed to leave the scene until about 5am when all the investigations etc had finished. That night kinda put a lot of things into purspective for me and its one I'll never forget. :(

thats the worst you'll ever see. they did a lot of damage to that armored truck in the process for a couple of bodies.

I ride a sports bike and in won't stop me from riding it,

The exact same thing would of happen if they where in a car, the rider was wear leathers and a helmet the leathers have been burnt off, and the helmet had been pull/ripped off.

as far as I'm concerned you don't buy a bike to be safe anyone who is a biker knows that, if you wanna be safe buy a volvo.

and remember think bike when turning right
