What the FLICK is a Nova De Luxe???

I was looking through a very old magazine I've got (Autocar, December 1986!), one of hundreds, and in the back, there's a classified section.
I was looking through, seeing things like C reg 1.2L 5-door hatch Nova's, going for ?4,750!, when I saw this:

VAUXHALL NOVA DE LUXE, 1600cc, Y reg, hydraulic canopy, Cobra seats, Compomotive wheels, sunroof, radio/cassette, new engine, black and silver, everything new, factory built, best Nova seen, a real eye-catcher, superb example, financial difficulties force sale, ?3,600 ono Tel: xxxxxxxxxx.Surrey.

I then also noticed this add:

VAUXHALL NOVA SUPERB 1.5, finished in golden yellow, with hydraulic electric roof, sunroof, dropped floors, built late 1983, quick, sturdy, reliable, well-build car, 10 months MOT, 4 months tax, real eye catcher, want to get noticed then buy it! ?3,900 ono Tel: xxxxxxxxxxxxx Nottingham

??? Anyone one know anything about either of those ???

I've just noticed this as well:

VAUXHALL CAVALIER SR TURBO, 1982, below average mileage, metallic blue, Blydenstein conversion, Recaro trim, alloys, music etc, excellent condition, fast yet very economical, ?2,995 ono Tel: xxxxxxxx

I was looking at this particular mag, as it's got a storey on Russ Swift and Peter Swire, who both had long career in autotests- doing trick routines/displays in cars, including appearing in GM Dealer Sport Road Shows.
Anyway, in the article, they where showing off their car-handling skills, in a pair of Nova Sports.....brand new at the time!
They also did things like doing side-wheelies in Astramax vans!

The mag article is titled "DOING THE BOSSANOVA"

I'm glad I've kept all my old mags, the oldest being from 83! I'll see if there are any more old articles on Novas.

What? the article with the sports?

Yes, sure. I was planning on scanning them in anyway, to put on my Nova site (which isn't finished yet, but on the way), so when I've done it, I'll mail them to you.
If I find any other articles in my other old mags, I'll send them too if you want.

So, does anyone know what on earth those Novas are? The De Luxe and Superb??
