Apparently these people suggest that the td nova will match a gte/gsi performance wise?

id say the TD was about the same as an SRi that hasnt been decated. between 60-90 id say its the same as a GSi!!

Its a diesel. its as simple as that. no way, anywhere near. if it did everyone would have one. or at the worst novaload guys would know about it. not a bunch of dicks like they seemed to be. wot a daft thing; 'oh yeah vauxhall sneakaly made this theyre hot-hatch equalling shopper.' it is a good car; but not as good as they say. why aren't there loads owned on this site? if they can 'out drag' a gte how's the gearing set up to move it onto 130 odd mph top end? funny shit.

I heard that TD novas came with a different engine after a while of production. After using up the crappy vaux ones they got Izusu ones which are meant to be very good.

Its quite normal for a TD nova to have a little bit of boost fettling etc and make 100bhp easy. They can match a GTE mid range, but not off the line, but I guess you could say that in a 400 mile race the GTE would run out of petrol, the TD would not.
