When the car has been standing a while e.g. over night then i drive it when i break there is a sort of grinding sound coming from the back breaks any ideas?

ittle bit of moisture getting in nd cuasing surface rust on the inside of the drum. unless it does it when youv bee ndriving for a bit then i wouldnt worry

sometimes tends to be when it is cold!
The drums are rusty but have always been like that

rusty inside!! if they make a nasty grinding noise after u bin driving for a bit THEN you can worry ;)

mine used to sieze solid overnight and when i pullrd away it would be like doing a handbreak turn. lol

used to have to reverse first to free them up. typical nova thing i think
