what do you all think?
he started off with a saxo vts, then spent 4k on stereo install. sold it after 4 months and got a astra gsi turbo. hes was thinking of getting a cossie, but now a scooby. been quoted ?2500 for insurance (hes 21).

get a scooby and only spend ?1.5 on ice.

 ?4k on ice!? what's the point. (i'm not an i.c.e guy, as you can tell).

Tho i dont like scooby's. Farmers cars.

Get an RX 7.

rx7 is a very nice car. i should mention that one to him.
i dont know what to say to him. a lad i know had a scooby. crashed it so hard that he broke every rib in the shape of the steering wheel. broke leg in two places and fractured his hip and pelvis. just started walking again now after 3 months. lets face it, nice cars. but a 21 year old behind the wheel of a 350 brake car. i'd give him 6 months to kill himself or the car!

neither an rx-7 nor impreza is '350 brake'!

ye olde nippon cars dont officially get released with more than '280bhp'*

no guarantees expressed or implied

dont think he cares about that. he spent ?75 driving around one night.

fester, its a jap import, slightly modded.

i still think too much for it. i bet he could get a...... well for 20k that 2.83 beast. now that would make him smile.

It all depends on the amount he wants to spend. He could pick a scooby up for around 5or6k, but the chances are it'll be riddled with problems. What is he looking to spend?

not 100% sure. i know his saxo was brand spanks, the astra cost 15k, and he was going to straight swap it for the cossie. i reckon he's gonna try and just straight swap one for one.

There was an RX8 at the classic car show at Tatton park a few weeks ago, they are mint! I like the crazy doors on them and the TV screen in the dash.

Keep the GSi turbo - parts are readily avaliable if it goes wrong and I imagine a whole lot cheaper!!

depends on the scooby.
if it's the original, go for that.
if not, stick with the astra gsi.

just so you know, he bought the scooby. it is apparently 320 brake.
