ok what are the rules for sun strips by the law because i got a mot failure yesterday because of mine so how big can they be (how deep)

i found different people pass em and others wont.
for example when i had 1 on me gte it passes no probs yet me brother took his 2 a different garage and they made him take em off in order 2 pass.

i was told by a mechanic that the wipers arnt suposed 2 touch

i dont have 2 worry bout mot with sunstrips as i aint got 1 now am not a big fan of em no more
but each 2 his own

the top of the wiper sweep can only cover a maximum of 40mm depth otherwise its illegall

if you have a see thru one on the other hand then thats a different matter ;)

or you could just take it off, hehe

i used to have one but it came off for last mot cause i knew it would fail and its stayed off since

i had to take mine off for my last mot. the guy said they were all pretty much illegal. havent bothered with them since

25% of the windscreen, and the wipers can't touch it, put smaller wiper blades on, but risk failing on them not clearing enough of the screen..
Or in line with the sun-visor things that are in the car
