Rick ive only just sent them to you!!! How come your selling them?

Sorry to go away from the origianl post there mate.

Would look ace that low but think you might struggle a bit. Apart from that looking good, grey wheels on a red car allways look good.

Stanton
11-11-03, 09:21 PM
maybe a carbon tailgate insert, bottom of rear bumper, sideskirts etc...

Obviously you have never tried removing, fitting Vynal to a car!

To get it that flat and that smooth would be a very good job.

And you have to make sure that the tailgate is flushed correctly (unlike 99% already around)

there is no way you can drop a nova that low and drive it every day, they rattle and bang as it is, plus they will catch on the front arch and bend it up a mate of mine tried it, and cut his rear springs looked fuckin wicked but shit ride and not pracicle. But the colour scheme and wheels look pukka,I'd like to see it finished and that low.Good luck mate.........
p.s i read in a p.a.g magazine once about fitting coilovers on the rear to a nova and there was certain wheel size and tyre size you had to stick to i think i'l try and find it and mail it to you. if not ask the boys and girls.

I love it!

why do other peoples plans always look better then what i think for mine?! :?

will look smart leaving the ridges in the bumper yet smoothing off other elements eg. the door handles, very nice combo!

I remember seeing ages ago genuine carbon fibre weave which you apply with proper resin, sort of like fibreglassing? Maybe do that on the skirts? In fact dont I might do it to mine!!

1 Q is it parked out side lager in that pic! lmfao

NovaNeil
15-11-03, 04:01 PM
YeahI was thinking wheres the exhaust going to go??? Side exits would look cool!!!!

Don't worry about Rear coilovers not fitting those wheels!! They'll easily fit 15's with 195 width tyres. I've had 17's on (with 205 width), and they still just clear.

Fergie_sfc
15-11-03, 04:06 PM

gte badge on other side. i kinda prefered the other 'all-red' lights. still rekon its a top photoshop.

Ben
16-11-03, 12:26 AM
Yup quality photoshopper

lmfao@ Dan asking for discount, normally jumps in to rip regal to pieces in any conversation.

Jules
16-11-03, 07:21 AM
I'd go for no badge on the boot, the light do look very nice bt also all reds also would look cool. Manta 400 mirrors would suit and as for the exhaust then I'd hide it or just have a nice 3.5" round one coming out of the standard location - Think about it, most of the design on the car is subtle (No huge kits, lairy colours etc etc) so a subtle exhaust would look right at home).

Anyway, yeah that's some quality photoshopping - wish I could do it that good. (Anyone got a good tutorial to read on how to use it? I've just picked it up as I've gone along!!)

Complete waste of money, the best bit of the kit is the cover plate.

:D cover plate, lol. have you tried it? it might seem a bit pants but it does have useful features like; fitted in a hour or whatever, cold start, ok emmisions (mot), doesn't sound too loud, doesn't seem to be too thristy neither, looks ok and isn't too dear. and in total vaux. mag did gain 22 bhp in a 1.6 8v gsi. carbs etc can be pain to live with. just a more simple 'bolt-on' mod.

Ben
17-11-03, 12:17 AM
Nigh on ?1500 for 22BHP you got to much money, i know several people that have tried them and have never spoke to a satisfied person who has bought them.

Yes they do have all the benifits but there not really throttle bodies just chambers that catch fuel and then pass it through.

peester
17-11-03, 12:22 AM
ok mate unsold. i know they're 'pretend' throttle bodies or better still 'goodmans' throttle bodies just wondered; i go to loads of shows always look at novas ; never saw any ever. that was telling me something then. anyway for 1.6 8v and 22 bhp they cost ?1100. and you get free lexmaul cam.lol looks like it'll be the velos jenveys and dta then.

Ben
17-11-03, 12:36 AM
Yeah sorry i was quoting the price for 1600 16v ones i briefly considered.

For ?1100 you could rebuild a 8v to a very high spec or just look around all the secondhand rally sites and pick up a ex race engine or similar.

17-11-03, 04:25 AM
just a idea just tell me to shut up if ya want , but wot about quad lights and a solid flat grill with "GTE" cut into it on the left hand side about 3 inchs tall?

as many have this opinion of the dbilas throttle bodies i will be using them on my car to show that they do work and can make good power and are above all reliabe and and easy system to live with as they are essencially fit and forget.

as for the 16v 1600 bodies they work very well and have been used to produce 140bhp in these cars.

its down to personal preference tho i spose, each to thier own

peester
17-11-03, 09:45 AM
you think theyre good then. ok we'll see how they do for you car and if they work i will probably get some. btw; rs that mate of mine i sed you should know has told me last night he's soon handing his cav turbo in to you lot to fit all his parts.
