Are you sure it was the perce?
ill explain in a min what the feck the perce was, but i unfortunately i had to sell my awesome sig car 2 or 3 years ago, a chap from brownhills (just outside of cannock) bought it for a measley ?250. I've never listened to my parents again. they forced me to sell it. I (obviously) knew where the next owner then lived and if passing ide trudle passed to see if the old perce was still ok. then one day in the autotrader about 6-8 months after he'de bought it, it was for sale for ?400. didn't have cash or room for car to buy it back and since then never saw or heard it again.
But would really love to see it again. -it used to attract so much attention at cruises - i got pestered by police; it was menace in the wet. 60 hp 1256cc Vauxhall Viva HC SL. 1975 KBH232N reg plate. lime green; was sprayed for persil (washing powder) tv advert (guy at bus stop repairing car getting greasy, oilly etc persil washed it all off next day, blah blah.) got the name 'percy the persil car' within old-timer vauxhall enthusiasts. so we 'youthed' it to perce. was at billing 98,99 i loved it.
was my first car it was the bomb. decked it -60mm PMC custom springs on the 90 year old oil soaked dampers, non-existant bushes. look well hard. PIMP style black vinal interior. cherry bomb exhaust. people used to think it could go like stink; 'wot engine you runnin' mate!!!' errr, standard mate. im only 18.
miss it so much. so karl you saw it in cannock? have to check it out. some youth is probably battering it for all its worth... poor perce.

If it had white wheels, really low, manta 400 mirrors, then its a bloke from here in Northern Ireland. Think he lives about 30 miles from me, but i've never met him...

Amazing car, i'd say its one of the best modifyed cars in NI!
