Hello every1
Could you please post how much your insurance was when you were 17, i am 17 in 4weeks and lookin for a 1.3sr or lower, also post what model Nova you had, and whether your cover was an additional driver etc.

When you had it under your dads policy does that mean that he is the proposed main driver and you are additional driver so the premium is reduced because you had his experience/NCB. I was thinking of doing that cus my dad has been driving for like 9 years and has 6 years NCB so the premium would be rock bottom. But would the insurance company suspect that it was a little weird for my dad who is 47ish to be insuring a Nova 1.3SR, thanks for your help guys on my first ever post

im not 17 yet, just couldnt be ar$ed to explain lol

basically its whats known as "fronting" and insurance companys are wise to this now, but theres no law against it anyway!(well not that i know of )

and as far as i know if ur dad is the policy holder then his NCB and details are taken into account for the quote :!:

some people dont approve of this but theres no way in hell im paying 1K+ to insure a 1.3SR! :o

his dads no claims are only valid on one policy (AFAIK) and even if there not if you crash the car your dad will loose his no claims which im sure hell love you for when he has to pay ????????????33 for his renewal

bit the bulet and get your own policy, sooner your build your own no claims

*btw i was 18 and paid ?500 TPFT on a 1200 merit
