BRAKING

my friend's nova has a strange problem, when we are doing some hard braking, the front wheel's some way or another, move back and hit the inner part of the mudguards. everything seems in place. i checked it myself, what could be the problem?

check the tie bars and fitting are ok. also check the front crossmember (goes across bottom front of the car below radiator) these have been known to crack!!
