anyone know what the real speed i would be doing if i hit it off the limiter at 7000rpm in 5th gear? The gearbox is a f10cr

i no but then u get the same problem as the speedos in cars arent really that accurate, i mean i get 140+ on my clocks but i no that isnt correct. Just wondered if anyone would be able to work out the speed with the ratios of the gearbox.
go to a rolling road. my local garage has one. just ask urs

7000 in 5th with F10CR and 3.94 final drive on 195/45R15 tires would be 130mph
what engine u got?
GTE limits at 6800 which is only 126mph
other engines limit at different places....

i have a 1.4sr running bout 110bhp, i have an aftermarket rev limiter fitted which is set at 7000rpm. I can cope with 130mph enough to p&ss on those saxo's

well ive also had the f10 cr box on my 110bhp 1.3
Aragorn worked it out for me about 115 - 120mph @ 7k rpm i cant remember what final drive ive got though. i didnt care how fast i went ... jsut how quick it got there.
Was using too much fuel though ... so ive put a valver in

what clocks you running???? mine only go to 120 then a mark (130)

my figures came from a gearbox calculator cambridge and i developed
the nova speedos are junk after about 80 anyways so u may as well ignore it :roll:
