Iv just broken my 2nd fuel pump in bout 3 months! I know they are tempremental, but just wondering if it could be anything other than the pumps just packing up, like a faulty relay!
Is it worth putting the filter before the pump?
They should have done that from day 1!
Would this make the any difference to the performance of the pump? i don't think it ill, once its pressurised, then the demand for fuel is given my a signal!
Thanks alot for any info!

i wouldnt put a filter before the pump

the feed is gravity fed on startup and such like

pulling fuel thru a filter will mean it runs dry for a few secs

mines connected to the carb tank via normal 5mm fuel hose (instead of the 10mm ID hose off the gte) and it makes all sorts of funny sounds especially when low and first thing in the morning

replace the relay and then see how u get on - might be arcing internally causing excess wear on the pump
