Shall I facelift my GTE?

Basically i am sending my in for a full respray etc soonish and i am sorting out the bodywork in preparation for this.

I need to replace both front arches as they are a bit rusty, and i need to replace the bumper to get rid of ths stupid vents on them, as well as the bonnet and its stupid vents too...

Anyway i picked up a mk2 sri yesterday for 30quid(MOT failure) and i was thinking that i might aswell swap the front ends around completely as it would save me buying all the new stuff, basically resulting in me having a mk2 front end, so i might aswell do the tailgate aswell.

lol, so far I am the only one that has voted to change it. I prefer the look of the MK2 it is just a far more refined looking front end.

dont wanna get in2 a fight but im afraid the GSI is the soft Prince thing that is kinda limp, wheras the GTE is Fookin hard and is defo the king of novas :lol:

must admit tho, mk2s make a better base as they tend to be less rusty as they are newer, if i ever got one it'd b converted to mk1 straight away tho!

gte's are wagons. mk2s look so much more modern, well as modern as a 10 yr old car can get. gsi is the best front bumper EVER for a nova. the fronts better, theyre just a better car.

The lights on the Mk1 are just apalling. Not that they're much better on the Mk2.

not sure that many would agree but gte's look harder and have a better back bumper gsi looks more tame but more classy. back end looks soft back bumper same as any other 90+ nova you would think that the gsi would have done something a bit more tougher as it does look shite lines of a gte are better hard decision on what to do how about 90 spec wings,headlights,grill and gte bumper best of both worlds as you only have the shit sr front bumper unless you put a seat cordoba front splitter on to make it look hard.

hmmm, 50:50 on votes atm. I do think the GTE front end looks hard, although if i keep it i want a non molested GTE front so thats gonna cost me, aswell as the new wings etc. Still i think it'll be worth it.

What do people think about the back end, stick with the GTE one or go with the one off the SRi?

Incidentally that car next to the GTE in the pic is my SR which is my everyday drive, not the SRi.

depends what your after mate. Keep it old skool cool, or make it look like a gsi. Both look excellent, but its your decision. If it was me however, I'd keep it subtle mk1 gte slagggg

being perfecty honest I don't like the gte styling much (looks dated). but thats just my opinion. so i'd say go gsi stylee.
