Hi there,

I'm planning to replace my Pierburg carb with a twin 40's conversion and my doubt is: Does it really work well or i need to move to 1.4 or even a 1.6 engine running on carbs?

Any help would be gratefull, thanks :)

wasn't the sport a 1.3??? that had twin carbs and goes pretty well, so I would imagine it would be ok to use them, but I dont know what sort of power you would be getting.

I have a sport, and that's 1.3 t40's. Yep they are mental, and sound great, but a few words of caution. If your engine is standard in other respects, you wont notice a huge difference, but if you have a lairy cam, some headwork and a decent exhaust then 40's really add some grunt.

You may need to also uprate your fuel pump, and keep your carbs setup properly.
