yes and no. it will run, however you will suffer from low fuel pressure!!
you can keep the tank and use a pump from a corsa sri/gsi by cutting off the plastic fin from the pump!!

i have a mate who has been running a 1.2 pump on a 1.6 16v engine which was kicking 140bhp at the wheels. and he was running throttle boddies :D

fuel pressure is the killer... at high pressure the 1.2i pump just gives up

i ran my 1.2i pump on 2 gte's they never idled right but thats just the crappy airflow meter. in the end rings went twice on both engines... ile use the right pump from now on. :(

Am I that mate Matt?

If so I ran it on the 1.2i pump when it was first fitted, then changed to modified a 2.0 16v vectra pump, then when I thought that had died I bought a motorsport FSE in tank pump that is capable of flowing enough fuel for over 400bhp. The FSE pump is a direct fit.

The 1.2i pump would click off at 33psi....
