spray painting

i know this may come across a bit daft but maybe someone will know.
in work there is a 1.5 bar (i think) compressor with nail gun. if i change the nail gun and get spray gun attachement instead. do you think it would work. someone said i needed atleast 2 bar pressure.

depends mate no to painters paint the same u can use low pressure but turn the fan down to make up for it.
